Congratulations to Chaffee Trail 3rd grader Haleigh G. who created this beautiful tropical fish using tempera paint and oil pastels. Haleigh won an "Award of Excellence" in the Florida Art Education Association's digital Art Exhibition 2009 - 10. A copy of her painting now hangs in our states capital in Tallahassee. We are very proud of Haleigh!

Mrs. Woodlief's New Art Assistant
Mrs. Woodlief has a new art assistant! His name is Arturo Pierre and he has lot's to say about the "Artist in the Spotlight" in the Chaffee Trail art classes. Arturo is both italian (on his mother's side) and part french (on his father's side) "That," chuckles Mrs. Woodlief, "explains your really bad accent!" Arturo is anxious to meet all the Chaffe Trail students soon in art class so he can tell you stories about many famous artists.
