Free Art Opportunity for Chaffee Trail Students!

JAXPARKS PRESENTS ARTS ON THE GO

Create your masterpiece with us!

Jacksonville, Fla., Jan. 14, 2010 – First Coast families are invited to show their creativity at JaxParks’ next installment of the Arts on the Go series at Murray Hill Art Center. This free art event offers hands-on activities including drawing, painting and crafting. Art instructors will be on hand to assist. Participants are encouraged to take their creations home to display and enjoy.

Arts on the Go is a two-hour program that travels monthly to parks and community centers throughout Duval County. The programs goal is to introduce families to various forms of art. It also provides an opportunity for families and neighbors to join for an evening of free entertainment and fun. Art instructors work with the participants to expand their experience and offer instruction.

Another Prize Winning Quilt From Chaffee Trail

Congratulations to the Quilt Team at Chaffee Trail.
Again, our school was recognized at the January '09 DCPS board meeting for our outstanding quilt based on the Superintendent's Book of the Month. this year, our quilt earned an honorable mention ribbon from the judges at the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair. Our quilt is displayed in the front office so stop by to see this beautiful, entirely hand-stitched masterpiece created by Chaffee Trail students. Thanks so all our Chaffee family and friends for supporting us in this annual project.
